(JTA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would look at ways to regulate thousands of West Bank settlement homes built without permit in reaction to terrorist attacks.
Netanyahu also told the Attorney General’s Office to look into approving 82 new housing units in Ofra, a settlement that saw a deadly terrorist attack this week. He also ordered housing officials to advance plans for building two new industrial zones in the West Bank, one on Beitar Ilit and another near Avnei Hefetz.
“They think they can uproot us from our country. They won’t succeed,” Netanyahu said Thursday night at an emergency meeting following a series of attacks this week, the news site Srugim reported.
