The growing Chasidic presence in Uman, Ukraine, site of the grave of the late Rabbi Nachman of Breslav, has stoked tensions between Jewish pilgrims and Ukrainian locals — particularly around Rosh Hashanah, when more than 25,000 Jews flock to the small city.
