A series of forty teas, given simultaneously Tuesday afternoon at the homes of as many members of the Brooklyn section of the National Council of Jewish Women, was united through a radio speech over Station WMCA by Mrs. Mary Schonberg, executive secretary of the Council.
Mrs. Schonberg described the work of the organization in detail, outlining the problems confronting not only Jewish women, but all American women. She called upon the women of America to unite and to further a program designed to bring world security and peace.
“We represent the outstanding Jewish women’s organization in America which has intelligently and effectively cooperated in the program for peace and disarmament,” Mrs. Schonberg declared.
She also called upon the Jewish women to fight against all manifestations of anti-Semitism.
