William Edlin, editor of the Yiddish daily, the Jewish Day, died today of a heart attack at the age of 69. He had long been active ## the field of Jewish journalism and for a time specialized in music and drama criticism. He came to this country from Russia at the age of 12 and was educated in ##n Francisco public schools and Columbia University.
Mr. Edlin had been a member of the Day staff since its founding and served as editor for many years. His last published work was an editorial in today’s Day calling the establishment of the Jewish State in Palestine.
