Western fashion is beginning to invade the life of the Palestine Moslems. With the arrival of the spring season, young Moslems in Jerusalem are enthusiastically replacing the Turkish fez with straw and felt hats with bands of red, white and green, the Islam colors.

At a meeting in Jerusalem of Moslem notables, it was decided that the fez was not part of the Arab national costume but was introduced by the Turks.
