The most important task facing this city’s newly-elected Jewish Community Council is to press for restitution of the property of Austrian Jews, Dr. Emil Maurer, president of the Council executive, declared here today.
He added that efforts will also be made to persuade the Austrian authorities to create an heirless Jewish property restitution fund. The community council will fight anti-Semitism and fascism by all legal means. Dr. Maurer said.
