The management of the Vienna Hakoah, the famous Jewish sport club, has decided to take action against the use of the name Hakoah by the American team which won the Unites States soccer championship, it was announced here today.
Some of the members of the American Hakoah were formerly of the Vienna club. They joined United States teams following their spectacular tour several years ago and this season created a unit of their own. The Vienna club stated that it will take steps with sport bodies and Jewish organizations in the United States to prevent the use of the name Hakoah by the American team which, it charges, is a professional team operated for profit and not associated with the athletic movement among the Jewish youth which originally gave rise to the Hakoah club in Vienna.
