Private loans will be given to victims of political and racial persecution to enable them to become reintegrated into the economic life of Germany, it was announced today at a press conference by Dr. Philip Auerbach, newly appointed Bavarian Commissioner for Victims of Political and Recial Persecution, which includes the former Office of Jewish Affairs.
“We must prove we are serious about restitution,” Dr. Auerbach declared in the presence of Bavarian Minister of the Interior Joseph Siefried. He also proposed a plan for vocational training of youths while they are recuperating from sufferings inflicted by the Nazis.
