U.S. figure skater Sasha Cohen took the silver medal in women’s figure skating at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Cohen took the medal Feb. 23 despite falling twice during her free skate program. News reports have said Cohen skated in Turin with a red-string Kabbalah bracelet on her wrist. Japan’s Shizuka Arakawa skated a clean program to win the gold.
