Two Estonians Who Helped Nazi to Kill Jews Are Executed

The Supreme Court of Soviet Estonia today announced the execution by a firing squad of two Estonian police officers who joined the Nazi SS and helped run extermination camps that killed an estimated 125,000 persons, mainly Jews. The pair–Ralf Gerrets, 55, and Jan Vijk, 44–were condemned March 11 after a six-day trial.
