The West Bank city of Ariel will be included in Israel’s security fence, Israel’s prime minister said. Ariel Sharon made the announcement at a Likud Party meeting Monday, Ha’aretz reported. U.S. officials have criticized Israel’s plans to include the 13,000-person city within the fence because Ariel is several miles beyond the “Green Line,” the boundary that divides Israel proper from the West Bank.
