The Security Council extended the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Force (UNDOF) on the Golan Heights for an additional period of six months, until May 31, 1979. The vote last Thursday night in the 15 member Security Council was 14-0. China, as in previous instances, did not take port in the vote. UNDOF is separating Israeli and Syrian forces on the Golan.
