The Palestinian government confirmed that it has received formal invitations to next Tuesday’s peace conference in Annapolis, Md.
The invitations come after weeks of speculation about the date and duration of the conference. Nabil Abu Rdainah, an aide to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, told Reuters that Abbas received an invitation to Annapolis on Tuesday, a week ahead of the talks. Abu Rdainah added that Israeli and Palestinian negotiators are continuing to draft a policy document for the meeting.
