The organization meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Federation of Jewish welfare Organizations for the year 1929 was held as the offices of the Federation.
During the year the Federation and has various societies expended the sum of $357,642.42. The receipts were insufficient to meet these expenditures. All available surplus was used and there was a deficits at the end of the year of $4688.
The report on the audit of the Books and Accounts of the Federation and its constituent societies for the period November 1, 1927, to October 31, 1928, was presented. It showed that the assets of the Federation and its constituent societies amounted on October 31, to $1523,946.40 and its (###) to (###). These assets consist in the main of land building supplies furniture and equipment. The organizations have bonds valued at $277,000. There are (###) on pledges $171,000 on notes payable to the Jewish Loan and Housing Association and all the societies had in bank $22,000.
