The opening of an exhibit in Washington celebrating Pope John Paul II’s relationship with Jews drew hundreds of visitors. “A Blessing to One Another: Pope John Paul II and the Jewish People,” hosted by the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center, brings together material from some 20 museums, including testimonials from Jewish friends of the pope from his youth in Poland and footage of his historic 1986 visit to a Rome synagogue and his 2000 tour of Israel.
