The man who headed the inquiry into Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination said the government was free to publish classified materials submitted to the committee to dispel renewed speculation of a conspiracy surrounding the murder. The remarks came as security and government officials dismissed a newspaper report this week suggesting that the security service and some political officials may have known about the assassination.
