The agreement authorizing the American Ort, an organization to promote trades and agriculture among the Jews, to import tools and implements into Russia free of duty was signed today by the Council of Peoples’ Commissars.
The agreement stipulates that the tools and supplies to the amount of $3,000,000 will be imported into Russia in the course of the next five years. Safeguards are included in the agreement that the imported tools and supplies go only to the relatives of American Jews, and are not put on the market.
