A call to South African Jewish professionals and middle class elements to come to Israel was voiced here today at the conclusion of the first national convention of the Federation of South African Jews in Israel. It was reported to the conference that South African Jews had invested $120, 000, 000 in Israel since the state was established.
The 1,000 former South Africans now living in Israel who attended the convention also voted to establish an office to assist new immigrants from South Africa to find employment in Israel and to organize an information service to inform prospective investors and immigrants in South Africa of opportunities in this country.
