Several dozen fervently Orthodox demonstrators marched outside a Jerusalem supermarket over the weekend, protesting its being open on the Sabbath. The protesters smashed bottles in front of Drugstore 2000, but left before police arrived at the scene. The store, located on the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, has become a focus of secular-religious tensions in the capital.
