The Jewish urban settlement being built near Hebron has been given the Hebrew name Kiryat Arba, one of the biblical names for Hebron. The urban settlement at Sharm el-Sheikh has been named Ophira after Ophir, where King Solomon’s ships brought gold into the country. In all, a dozen settlements and rivers in the occupied territories have been given new names, to be published tomorrow in the official law journal.
