Sen. Herbert H. Lehman and poet Carl Sandburg have been chosen to receive the first Albert Einstein Commemorative Awards sponsored by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, it was announced today. The awards–each $1,000 in cash and a medallion–will be presented April 17 for contributions to citizenship and humanities respectively.
