The probation of the will of Morris Schinasi, cigarette magnate, who died in 1928, entitles five Jewish charities to receive $20,000 each from his estate estimated at $8,014,962. Mr. Schinasi, who came to this country as an immigrant from Asia Minor some thirty-six years ago, had made his fortune in the manufacture of Turkish cigarettes, and though the bulk of his estate is distributed between his wife and two daughters, $1,300,000 has been set aside for Jewish and non-Jewish charities.
