A demand that the current issue of the Saturday Evening Post, containing an article by Milton S. Mayer entitled “The Case Against the Jews” be withdrawn from circulation “in the interests of America and in the interests of our soldiers,” was made today by the Non-Sectarian anti-Nazi League.
“The article might more aptly have been called ‘The Case for the Nazis’ or ‘The Case Against America’ said the letter signed by Prof. James H. Sheldon, chairman of the League’s board. The letter, addressed to the publishers, pointed out that the article “plays into the hands of Nazi propagandists and will be used in further attempts to split the unity of the United States at war.”
