Praise for American labor and the New Deal inaugurated by President Roosevelt was voiced by Max S. Rosenfeld, secretary of the Union of Orthodox Congregations of America, who was one of the speakers on a Labor Day program broadcast over Station WNEW yesterday.

“The spirit of religious teaching is obviously the spirit which underlies the New Deal,” Mr. Rosenfeld declared. “Its essential principles are entirely consonant with the principles enunciated in the Bible. And those who are fortunate enough to be living on American soil, enjoying the privileges that a truly democratic government affords, are duty-bound to cooperate with the President in the recovery program.”
