A grant of $2,000 has been made by the Rockefeller Foundation for research on sex hormones at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, it was disclosed today. The experiments are under the direction of Dr. Bernhard Zondeck, famed German-Jewish gynecologist, who is the co-discoverer of the widely-used Ascheim-Zondeck pregnancy test.
The University itself has endowed a prize for Oriental Studies to mark the sixtieth birthday of Prof George Weil, director of the University library. The award commemorates the late son of Prof. Weil.
