Three members of the Arab Executive today pleaded ignorance of the government’s prohibition of the demonstration at Jerusalem on Oct. 13 in mitigation of charges that they incited rioters to clash with the police.
The defendants claimed that they were aware that the procession at Jaffa Gate was prohibited, but each declared he knew nothing of the ban placed on demonstrations at the New Gate and the Damascus Gate because the warning posters escaped their notice.
