In reply to a question by Colonel Josiah Wedgwood in the House of Commons as to way the sale of the “Brown Book of the Hitler Terror” was prohibited in Palestine, while Hitler’s autobiography “Mein Kampf” is allowed to circulate, Malcolm MacDonald, Parliamentary Secretary for Dominions, stated that the Palestine High Commissioner had been asked for a report, which would be communicated to Colonel Wedgwood as soon as it is received.

Barnett Janner, Jewish member of Parliament, asked whether the Colonial Office would investigate any other slanders against the Jews issued in Palestine. MacDonald replied that he would make an inquiry into any information on this score submitted by Janner.

At the same time another member of Parliament, Sommerville, asked the Admiralty to place units of the British Mediterranean fleet in the vicinity of Tel Aviv during the forthcoming Levant fair.
