The publishing firm of Simon *** Schuster has notified booksellers that it is withdrawing from publication three books criticized by “race-conscious Jewish groups,” it was reported today. These books are Jerome Weidman’s novels, “I Can Get It for You Wholesale” and “What’s In It for Me?” both of which were said to have been criticized because the character of a garment industry “chiseler” was a Jew, and “Miniature Photography,” by Robert Simon, a member of the firm, which was said to have aroused opposition because it commended some German-made cameras.
