Impressive protest meetings were held today under the auspices of the Tel Aviv Municipality and the Rabbinate of the Tel Aviv Community. Speakers described the Jewish situation in Germany as worse than the Spanish inquisition. A similar meeting has been arranged for this week by the Haifa Community.

The German Consulates at Jerusalem and Jaffa have been put under a British police guard in view of the growing public resentment against Germany.

The Jewish merchants of Jerusalem, Haifa, and Tel Aviv have proclaimed a boycott of German goods, and have announced that they will even refuse to accept goods shipped in German steamers. It is estimated that the boycott, if carried into effect, will involve German imports to the extent of a million pounds annually.

In Jerusalem, leaflets have been distributed urging a complete boycott of anything German until the persecutions of the Jews in Germany are stopped.
