The Senate has voted by an overwhelming majority to delete the clause permitting grants for Jews and members of national minorities from the statutes of the Marshal Pilsudski Fund for National Culture.
Ukrainian Senator Lucki opposed deletion of the clause declaring that Pilsudski had always sympathized with the needs of national minorities and, therefore, a fund named after him should be guided by the principle of tolerance. The Polish Professor Milhailowic also demanded retention of the clause.
