Newspapers here reported today that a small group of Jewish “despair marchers,” who had set out from Poland on foot and without visas to call the world’s attention to Polish Jewry’s plight, had arrived in Palestine. Several previous attempts to stage a “march to Palestine,” organized by attorney Wilhelm Ryppel of Warsaw, last Fall ended in dispersal by police a few miles outside of Warsaw.
