Plans aimed at expanding Israel’s cultural and scientific ties with other countries were forwarded today to Foreign Minister Abba Eban by a special task force which he had appointed last April.
The committee’s recommendations called for the appointment of a scientific adviser to the Foreign Minister, who would advise on scientific ties overseas; creation of an advisory public council on cultural and scientific relations; and a gradual increase of the number of cultural and scientific attaches at Israeli missions abroad. The proposals also recommended more cultural exchanges under Israel’s cultural agreements with other nations.
