The arrival in London of Sir Harold A. MacMichael, Palestine’s High Commissioner, was announced here today by the Colonial Office. The announcement said that the High Commissioner came to London to report to Colonial Secretary Lord Cranborne on matters concerning Palestine’s administration and defense.

In the absence of the High Commissioner from Palestine, it was reported here today that James MacPherson, chief secretary of the Palestine Government, commuted to life imprisonment the death sentence imposed upon Joshua Becker, twenty-two year old youth, who robbed a bank in Tel Aviv and killed an employee there.
