Mrs. Bertha Feinberg, one of the pioneers of the Bilu, an “on to Palestine movement” in Russia, died here recently at the age of 77. She was the wife of Joseph Feinberg, a founder of the colony of Rishon le Zion.

Eulogies were spoken at the funeral services by H. M. Kalvarisky and Mr. Yudelewitz, one of the associates of the Rishon builders.

Mr. Feinberg went to Paris in the early days of Rishon and persuaded Baron Edmond de Rothschild to become a supporter of the colony. Elie Feinberg, a son, was the winner of the Renaissance Literary prize in France recently. A daughter, Mrs. A. Bloch, resides in Palestine.
