The Los Angeles Times reported from Beirut yesterday that the Palestine Liberation Organization was distributing several hundred thousand posters in Arab countries depicting Sirhan Sirhan, on trial for the murder of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, as a heroic Arab commando. A sample poster was recently front-paged in a Beirut newspaper, the Times said. “It carries a large picture of Sirhan and in front of him is a drawing of a Palestinian guerrilla with a rifle. Above the picture are the words, ‘Sirhan Bishara Sirhan: a Commando, not an assassin.”
