Election results tabulated today from 500 Polish centers in 101 cities or towns recorded over 90,000 votes, with the Palestine Laborites far in the lead with 38,306 votes. Following in order were the Jabotinsky Revisionists, with 20,467 votes; the Mizrachi, with 14,288; the General Zionists, with 10,518; Grossman’s Democratic Revisionists, with 2,761; the Hitachduth Party, with 2,728, and the Et-libnoth Party, with 1,272.
Preliminary election results today indicated that out of 18,174 Shekel holders in Warsaw only 8,959 voted. Results so far are as follows:
Palestine Laborites, 2,686 votes; Jabotinsky Revisionists, 2,099 votes; Mizrachi, 1,835; General Zionists, 1,555; Grossman’s Democratic Revisionists, 462; Et-libnoth Party, 242; and Hitachduth Party, 90 votes.
In Lodz the early results of voting were:
Jabotinsky Revisionists, 2,100 votes; Palestine Laborites, 1,800; General Zionists, 1,600; Hitachduth Party, 700; Et-libnoth Party, 500, and Mizrachi, 500.
Results from elsewhere in the provinces are as yet unknown.
The elections yesterday and today occupied the attention of Polish Jewry. In spite of trouble last week, there were few incidents of an untoward nature, and the were quickly put in order. Not more than 40 percent of the city’s Shekel holders voted.
