The Palestine government is determined to suppress before it is too late the repressive tactics that the Moslems have recently revived to annoy the Jews at the Wailing Wall, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s correspondent learns on good authority. Such annoyances as ordering the worshippers to lower their voices, the extinguishing of candles and the renewal of the Zikhr, a ritual frequently referred to as a “jazz band” during the Inquiry Commission’s hearings will get the government’s attention.

The authorities whom your correspondent has consulted do not disguise their concern over the latest developments wherein they see the hand of the Grand Mufti, who owing to the growing Arab opposition on account of the distribution of the relief fund and the unrepresentative character of the London delegation, is trying as usual to divert attention to the fabricated religious issue and check dissension.
