Judgment in the second section of the case brought by Dr. Arthur Ruppin against Mr. 1. Ben-Avi, editor of “Doar ha-Yom,” was rendered.

The Court ruled that the three articles written by the delendant could not be considered as a repetition of the previous articles, the subject of the charge Mr. Ben-Avi was accordingly adjudged not guilty.

On charges brought by Mr. Harry Sacher acting on behalf of the American-Palestine Bank, Ltd of Tel-Aviv, Mr. Max Bension and his son, Rabbi Samuel Benjamin formerly of Cleveland, O both former officials of the bank, were arrested and brought to Jerusalem.

Mr. Bension and Rabbi Benjamin were brought beiore Judge Copland at the District Court and semanded for for further hearing, bail being refused them.
