A complete set of the late George Gershwin’s works has been donated to the Palestine Conservatoire of Music by his mother, Mrs. Rose Gershwin, the J.T.A. was informed today. Mrs. Gershwin also is sponsor of an annual scholarship at the Conservatoire. A benefit concert for the Conservatoire will be held on Dec. 2 at Carnegie Hall with Yehudi Menuhin as soloist and the orchestra of the New Friends of Music, conducted by Georg Schneevoigt, famous Finnish composer, who is coming here by Clipper from Australia at Menuhin’s request for the event.
