That the government has not relented in its vigil to keep illegal immigrants out of Palestine is the substance of a statement quoted by Arab newspapers as emanating from the government press bureau.

The statement was made after it became known that the number of coastal police patrols was reduced. The explanation states that the reduction is due to the impossibility of boats landing at certain spots owing to rough weather in the winter, and that patrols are maintained where landing remains feasible.
