Construction of a special road 20 kilometers long covering the distance from the Kishon bridge to Megido has been undertaken by the Palestine Government in connection with the forthcoming visit here of John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
Mr. Rockefeller, who is accompanied by Prof. James H. Breasted, is expected to come to Palestine in March, after he completes his trip up the Nile. Among other places, he will visit the excavations carried on at Megido by the University of Chicago Field Expedition. It is to make the access to these excavations possible that the road is being constructed. Two hundred Arab workers have been employed to construct the road.
