Bavarian rabbis have issued a statement calling attention to the fact that meat slaughtered in the ritual manner after it had been stunned is being offered for sale to the Jewish population, and is being bought as kosher.
The statement warns that such meat is not kosher and adds that “in these difficult days” the people must show their ability to make sacrifices and to abstain from meat altogether, if necessary.
