The “New Year of Trees,” the ancient festival celebrated in Palestine for many centuries, will be held on the 15th of Shevat, February 9, 1925, in and outside of Palestine.

Opportunity is to be given the Jews in the Diaspora to enjoy fruits from Palestine as a result of the despatch to its representatives by the Jewish National Fund of consignments of almonds from the Jewish colonies. In Poland and Roumania the almonds, with other Palestine fruits, will be sold in small packets, while in other countries the almonds will form a gift to loyal Zionist workers. The scheme of sending Palestine products abroad is being tried this year as an experiment. If successful it will be repeated annually.
