A new barter pact between Germany and Jews to enable the latter to remove part of their capital from Germany in the form of German goods, has been concluded, it was officially announced here today.
The new pact is between the German Government and a Jewish committee in Berlin to promote emigration to Cyprus. The exact terms of the agreement are not made known yet, but it is expected to be patterned after that between Germany and Palestine.
The Berlin committee, it was revealed today, has already made arrangements to send a commission of experts to Cyprus on October 2, to create the basis for large colonization there of German Jews.
