The number of violent attacks by right-wing extremists in Germany decreased considerably this year compared to the first three months of 1992, according to Interior Minister Rudolf Seiters.
However, in releasing this information at a meeting with 16 state interior ministers, Seiters said there is still a need for ongoing efforts to douse the fires of hatred against foreigners.
From the beginning of this year through March 15, 173 cases of politically motivated attacks against foreigners were registered, compared with 283 in the same period a year ago.
