(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

A defense of the British administration of Palestine and his firm belief in the bright future of the country was expressed by Lord Allenby, conqueror of Jerusalem, in an address he delivered at the Synagogue in Hull during a civic reception in his honor.

Much criticism of the Palestine administration has been uttered recently. Actually, however, the administration has been conducted on the basis of justice and equality to every nationality and creed, Lord Allenby declared. He added that he believes that the future of Palestine will be a very bright one. “No favoritism exists in the country and I have seen enormous progress there, making one believe that Palestine will shortly settle down to a long and happy future,” he declared.
