Seven members of the nine-member board of governors of the New Jersey Daughters of the American Revolution yesterday joined the growing wave of criticism of a speaker at a recent state convention of the DAR who attacked the Jews on charges of inflicting their religion and practices on the American people through kosher labelling of certain food products.
The seven leaders held Mrs. Thomas Reeves, state regent of the DAR, responsible for the speech of Mrs. Henry D. Strack, which has been disowned by the national DAR. Mrs. Reeves yesterday accepted full responsibility for permittind Mrs. Strack to speak, adding that she had no prior knowledge of what Mrs. Strack intended to say.
