Earl Jewitt, former Lord Chancellor in the late Labor Government of Britain, in a speech here, endorsed the statement by Sir Anthony Eden, Foreign Secretary, that the Tripartite Declaration of 1950 guaranteed that Britain, France and the United States would come to Israel’s aid in the event she is attacked by the Arab states.

Mann of Philadelphia, vice-president of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, was honored at a dinner here commemorating the second anniversary of the death of Dr. Chaim Weizmann. Hosts at the affair were President Itzhak Ben Zvi of Israel and Premier Moshe Sharett.
The British Laborite stressed that all of Britain, particularly his party, will continue to press for a peaceful solution of the Israel-Arab conflict. The day will come, he predicted, when the Arabs and Israel will sit down at a roundtable conference and reach a compromise for the sake of peace.
