Walter Kauf, bodyguard of Heinz Spanknoebel, Nazi leader now in hiding, received a six-month sentence in the County jail here yesterday from Judge Daniel J. Brennan, of the Court of Common Pleas. The charge was carrying concealed weapons.
Kauf was arrested at a Nazi rally held here on Oct. 16 where Spanknoebel spoke. He was alleged to have drawn a blackjack to use against an anti-Nazi demonstrator. The court ruled that Kauf will be released provided deportation proceedings will be started within thirty days.
