The National Conference of Christians and Jews will present a citation to Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes tomorrow evening in recognition of his contribution toward the improvement of human relations, President Everett R. Clinchy announced. The Chief Justice will receive the citation at a private ceremony at his residence in Washington in the presence of Dr. Arther H. Compton and roger W. Straus co-chairman of the NCCJ; Basil O’Connor, who will represent Prof. Carlton J.H. Hayes, also a co-chairman; and Dr. Clinchy.
